SIDE EFFECTS OF THE VACCINE
The Pfizer vaccine is given in two doses. The second dose is administered 21 days after the first dose, providing protections from COVID-19 within 28 days of the initial vaccination.
Few people experienced adverse side effects during the clinical trial. The most severe side effects were fatigue (3.8 percent of participants) and headache (2 percent).
Pfizer says any side effects disappeared shortly after the vaccination.
A VACCINATION FREE OF CHARGE TO YOU
The vaccines are free of charge for frontline workers and nursing home residents. Because being vaccinated is so critical to the safety of nursing home residents, staff, and the community at large, employers are working closely with health care officials to ensure that all workers and residents have timely access to vaccines.
